Album Jepang Pertama Girls' Generation Memecahkan Rekor

Album Jepang pertama Girls' Generation berjudul "Girls Generation", dirilis pada 6 Juni minggu lalu, terjual 16.000 eksemplar minggu terakhir ini, membawa mereka ke tempat kelima di album mingguan chart penjualan Oricon. Ini adalah pertama kalinya dalam sejarah bahwa sebuah album oleh artis Korea telah ditempatkan di 10 teratas selama tujuh belas minggu. Pemegang rekor sebelumnya adalah soundtrack asli untuk drama Korea "Winter Sonata", yang tetap di 10 teratas selama enam belas minggu. "Winter Sonata" dirilis pada bulan September 2003.

Selain itu, Girls 'Generation memegang rekor kalangan artis asing untuk penjualan album terbanyak dalam seminggu untuk album debut yang terjual 232.000 ekslempar. Saat ini, 780.000 ekslempar "Girls' Generation" telah terjual, dimana mencakup album repackaged mereka.
